WELCOME!

We are experts in Enterprise, Employability and Personal Development. We have a proven track record of engaging, motivating and progressing young people into education, work, or self-employment.

We work with schools, colleges and universities both locally and internationally to provide bespoke enterprise and employability-based workshops, training and development programmes.

Our founder Sadie Sharp could see that there was a shortage of practical work experience especially within the entrepreneurial world. Sadie wanted to give young people the opportunity to explore how to take an idea or a passion and turn them into a career, as well as develop the skills that would help them thrive and have confidence in their next steps.

We have a wealth of business and education experience and have combined the two to provide high quality resources, training and real-life youth trading experiences.

Our proven development model introduces young people to a range of different career skills and youth led business options resulting in an 89% success rate.

The Platform Project journey...

CONNECT

Therapeutic Mentoring

(Ages 11-18+)

The Platform Project offers therapeutic SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) mentoring for young people aged 5–18+, designed to help them build confidence, regulate emotions, and develop healthier behaviours. The service uses trauma‑informed, attachment‑based approaches and provides tailored 1:1 support, including transport, family liaison, and transition back into education. The organisation also runs additional programmes—alternative provision, personalised tutoring, and employability training—to help young people stay engaged in education and prepare for future careers. Testimonials highlight improvements in confidence, emotional regulation, and relationships.

The Platform Project’s Engage Programme is an alternative provision designed for students who struggle to attend or engage in mainstream education. It supports young people with challenges such as low attendance, risk of exclusion, SEND/SEMH needs, trauma, anxiety, or low confidence.

The programme blends practical, interest‑led projects with structured support to build life skills, emotional resilience, and vocational experience. Students can also work toward a King’s Trust Personal Development & Employability qualification, which requires no exams and recognises their achievements through real‑world learning.

DISCOVER

Personalised Tuition

(Ages 11-16)

The Discover programme offers highly personalised 1:1 tutoring for secondary‑aged students who struggle to engage in mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH, trauma, low attendance or learning‑resistant behaviours. Tutors use flexible, practical, interest‑based activities to help students catch up on GCSE and Functional Skills learning in a way that feels accessible and motivating. The service is delivered by qualified teachers, available in person or online, and can be combined with other Platform Project programmes—such as Engage and Connect—to support confidence, emotional regulation and reintegration into education.

The Aspire Programme is a new vocational, careers‑focused course for 16–19‑year‑olds who struggle to engage with mainstream further education, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, low attendance, or barriers such as trauma or anxiety. Starting in September 2025, it offers a small, supportive, work‑style environment where students develop employability, life skills, IT skills, enterprise experience and complete work placements. The programme runs 10 hours per week over 3 terms, with options to extend and to add therapeutic mentoring or tutoring. It aims to help young people build confidence, gain practical experience, and progress into college, apprenticeships or employment.

The Boost programme is a 12‑week employability and enterprise course designed for young people who need practical experience, confidence building, and support to move into work or start their own business. Participants gain hands‑on experience through youth‑led business projects—such as digital design, publishing, crafts, marketing, and customer service—and work alongside local professionals. The programme also includes a reverse careers fair and the option to complete a Prince’s Trust qualification. Testimonials highlight major boosts in confidence, interview success, and progression into jobs, apprenticeships, or self‑employment.
